So, here it is then…..after 4 trips to DLP I’ve been persuaded to do a blog rather than just posting daily reviews to the various Disneyland Paris groups. Problem….our next trip is 6 months away! Other problem? I don’t know what a blog is. And I don’t know how to write one. Or set one up for that matter. I think fashionably late covers it.
Google leads me to ‘Blogger.com’ whose name immediately strikes me as both honestly straightforward about its purpose & simple so gets chosen ahead of the likes of Wix, Joomla & Weebly for just that reason. I’ll let WordPress off on the name thing but it looks too complicated when I have a go. Blogger also happens to be free which is entirely coincidental to my choice. *
Do I just write? Suppose so, weird. How will anyone see this? I’ll Google and find out. Scrap that, I’ll go to the library tomorrow and get one of them big yellow ‘Blogging for Dummies’ books. Old school me. Support your local library, go borrow a book – anything, doesn’t matter what. Honestly we’ll miss them when they’re gone.
So, on the basis that someone might read this I’ll set out who might be mentioned, our little family – that’s Mrs C, Little Legs and me + 2 cats will be the main cast. Supporting characters will probably make appearances but names may well be changed by necessity to protect the guilty/easily identifiable/potentially litigious/prone to violence.
Time to learn how to blog then, how hard can it be? Probably easy peasy, imagine if someone who works in IT struggled with blogging…..how embarrassing would that be?
Yep. You guessed it, I work in IT. I learned computers before the Internet – ZX Spectrum, rubber keys. Work in progress, that’s what I’m getting at so bear with me, sorry for the mistakes, apologies if this ends up being as amateurish (and quite frankly, boring) as I imagine it could end up being etc etc.
So what we gonna blog about? No idea 💡 Disney? maybe some other stuff….whatever happens to Mrs C, Little Legs and me, whatever’s in my mind really – fingers crossed for life to throw up some interesting stuff & some spare time to write about it. For those who’ve read what I posted on the Facebook Disney pages you’ll probably recognise the stream of consciousness type thing.
Anyways that’s the first attempt over, further nonsense will follow as and when time allows. It’s Britain’s Next Air Disaster? on BBC2 in a mo and that’s right up my street.
Next post may include musings on Omjid Djalili, Jam Roly Poly, Kylie at Glastonbury & Tennis. But it might not.
